Vitex (Vitex Agnus-Castus) is a tree-like shrub 4-8 m high. The whole plant is gray-tomentose from dense pressed hairs. Taproot is well-branched, with a large number of adventitious roots. The leaves are large, green in color. Flowers are numerous, lavender, collected in dense intermittent paniculate-spike inflorescences at the tops of the branches. Four stamens projecting high above the corolla. The corolla is pale blue. The fruit is a black, dry, four-celled spherical drupe 3-4 mm in diameter. Vitex blooms from June to late October; bears fruit in October-November.

Directions
Shake well before use. Take 20-30 drops, three times a day or as directed by your practitioner. The best way to use liquid herbal glycerites is to put the suggested amount in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the entire contents. Glycerites can also be administered directly into the mouth without the assistance of water however some glycerites are unpalatable which is why most people prefer to dilute them into a beverage.
